Harry Jones Memorial Concert

The Seacoast Big Band, under the direction of David Seiler, will present the annual Harry Jones Memorial Concert on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 in Johnson Theatre, Paul Creative Arts Center. They will be joined by guest composer/ arranger George Stone. Stone has enjoyed a rich and rewarding career in music education for twenty years, with the last thirteen at Cuesta College, San Luis Obispo CA. As designer of both the facility and their courses, he currently directs and instructs the popular Audio Technology Program and teaches Music Theory and Composition. Prior to education, George worked as a studio musician and composer for live shows and television. Artists and groups with whom he has been privileged to work include Maynard Ferguson, Clare Fischer, David Foster, Dave Grusin, Tom Scott, the American Jazz Philharmonic and the Tonight Show Orchestra with Doc Severinsen. George performs regularly on trumpet and piano, with compositions and arrangements released through publishers worldwide. The concert begins at 8:00 p.m. in the Johnson Theatre, Paul Creative Arts Center, UNH campus, Durham, NH. General admission tickets are $8 each and 6$ each for students and seniors.
